URGENT NOTICE: NO MORE BLOOD TESTS 1 APRIL 2024

From 1 April 2024 blood tests will no longer be taken at Three Rivers Medical and all patients will be asked to attend the hospital, or the collection centre located at 447 Gladstone Road.

The funding for taking bloods has not increased to meet demand in the last 16 years and an approach to T-Lab to increase this was declined.

We regret the inconvenience, and we will continue to advocate for our community and this service to be reinstated if we get the appropriate funding.

Early closure on Saturday 5th August

Three Rivers medical is closing at 12 MIDDAY Saturday 5th August (instead of usual 13:00hrs) due to our staff attending Tangi of a treasured team member.

REDUCTION OF OPENING HOURS:

From its inception, in 2012, 3Rivers Medical has been proud to maintain extended opening hours, closing at 8pm weekdays and maintaining a full 9am-6pm service weekends and public holidays. Unfortunately, this is no longer sustainable.

There for:

From 1 May 2023, we are reducing opening hours to 8am to 5pm weekdays and 9am to 1pm weekends and public holidays. It is no longer sustainable to maintain our previous opening times with the funding we receive, and with the pressures our workforce has faced over the last few years.

We are acutely aware that we serve a large high needs and vulnerable population with a high prevalence of limited health literacy and socioeconomic deprivation, so this is not a decision which we have taken lightly. We also acknowledge that this action will have effects on the stakeholders with whom we interact. We will continue to work with all parties to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible within the constraints of the resources available to us.

26 September 2022 PUBLIC HOLIDAY

Our normal services for this day will be suspended for the memorial of The Queen Elizabeth.

We will operate the same as any other public holiday and will be available for urgent acute on the day services from 9am-12pm and 2pm-6pm

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you

From Sunday 15th May at 6pm we are suspending our 0508 freephone.

We have found that the
demand the service has created has outstripped our ability to provide the service within our current
funding.
We will review the future viability of the freephone number for our business.
Our main phone line remains unchanged on 06 867 7411.
Three Rivers Medical will be introducing new Telehealth platforms such as email and SMS services to
allow for a more effective and efficient way to communicate both ways between our practice and
our patient population.

Manage My Health (MMH) appointment bookings have now reopened, allowing registered patients
to book a phone or face to face appointment with any of our GP’s or Nurse clinics.
If you are not on Manage My Health, we encourage you to register. This can be easily arranged by
one of our reception staff when you come into reception with proof of photo ID.
If you are unable to call us, please present to the practice and speak with our team, who will help
you out with your query.
Three Rivers Medical’s doors are open, we just ask anyone entering our building to please wear a
mask, and if you have any cold or flu symptoms to contact us by phone to arrange alternative
contact route of care.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
