After Hours
- Weekdays
- 5pm phones divert to Whakarongorau nurse triage service till the clinic’s next day opening hours (in other words our patients have access to medical advice 24/7)
- If your health needs require emergency care, you will be advised by the after-hours triage nurse to call 111 or go to the hospital
- If your health needs require a clinician that night and it’s not assessed as an emergency, you can access Practice Plus for virtual care – under 14’s are not charged for this service as we offer a voucher system.
- If the triage nurse is able to provide supportive health advice, you may be advised to call the clinic for the next day.

5th September 2019The recent confirmed case of measles in Gisborne has resulted in a significant increase at 3Rivers in the number of related phone calls and patients requiring vaccination and face-to-face time. This has put additional pressure on an already stretched system.
